Chris Cook : His voice is from just down the street; his words are straight from his heart. These two elements combine to make Belmont, North Carolina native Chris Cook's music at home in most any genre.

After years of traveling the globe and playing clubs, Cook finally settled down long enough to record some of his music.

His first CD "Heartless Road" ran the gamut from true blues to down home country in both sounds and sentiment. With the ring of honesty, his original songs all come from a place deep so inside Cook that he sounds at home lending a bluesy twinge to a laundry list of life concerns in "Old Suede Coat," crooning a more homey sound into "Go Back to Sleep" or letting that twang color "Your Share of Me." While his follow up album contains some of the same songs, they're dressed up a bit differently this time. Cook has brought his music home and given it even more a ring of truth. Old songs shine anew while fresh tunes like "How Good Can it Be" and "The One That Got Away" makes the album a solid shot.
