My name is Melinda Fine.
I have been an artist all my life, and my explorations have been mainly private endeavors.
I made an attempt to study art at the college level in my undergraduate career, but I did not have the courage or ego strength to stand behind my vision at the time.
I chose instead to pursue the art of writing fiction and earned my MFA in Creative Writing from UNC-G, studying with Fred Chappell, Robert Watson and Lee Zacharias. The short story is my medium of choice. My thesis: Ants.
